If you received a note from our designers regarding your DIY card that mentions "account for shifts during the cutting process" then it likely means your design doesn't have enough "bleed" to account for any shifts during final production that would result in either important information/elements getting trimmed off or any of the natural paper color to show through at the edge.
The industry-standard, expected movement is under 1/8" which is why we suggest leaving important information/elements within the "safe zone" marked on each of our templates available for download within "Do you have templates available for your DIY cards?".
