Do you have templates available for your DIY cards?

Yes, if you are designing your own DIY card we have templates available for each size card that you can download. These PDF templates will help ensure your card is designed with the final printed card in mind.

In order to use our templates (listed below along with the accompanying sizes), simply download the size you need for the card you're designing for.

Once you have finished designing and are ready to export, follow the guidelines within How should I prepare my artwork file for a DIY card? and then follow the steps below depending on where you are in the process.

If you have a PDF, JPEG, or PNG file and haven't started personalizing, or if you have a saved proof in your cart without requested edits:

1. Ensure your PDF is separated into 1 page each as the photo tray will only recognize the first page.
2. Click Personalize from the product page or Edit Design from your cart.
3. Click the photo space where you'd like to upload your file to open the photo tray.
4. Click the upload button and choose your file(s).
5. Choose upload and it will load within the photo tray.
6. The first file you uploaded should populate and you can adjust the positioning. If it's a PDF, it automatically shows the final preview of it cut, removing 1/8" of bleed on all sides.

If you have a PDF, JPEG, or PNG file and have already personalized and requested edits through Free Designer Assistance:

1. Fill out our Help Request Form, attach your file and submit your request.
2. Our Support Team will confirm your submission and submit an edit request on your behalf to use your PDF.
3. Once your edits are completed to add your file to the card, you will receive another email confirmation that your proof is ready to approve.

Our PDF templates can be uploaded to any design program you may be using. Flat card templates will have a front and back surface while our folded card templates will have a front, inside, and back.

When opening the template, here is some important information regarding the instructions provided:

"bleed" is the outside edge of the design that will be trimmed after final production. It is intended for background colors, artwork, and images that are meant to be "full-bleed" or "borderless." "cut line" is indicated by a dashed line and indicates where your design will be trimmed after final production. "safe zone" is indicated by a solid green line and indicates the space you are free to design and add important text/elements you don't wish to be "full-bleed" or "borderless."

Please note: all templates are in "portrait" or "vertical" (top to bottom) formatting. Should you want to design for "landscape" or "horizontal" (left to right), you can rotate the pages once uploaded to your design platform of choice.
