If your photo file is over 25MB you will need to resize it before you can upload it to your proof. This can happen when your photographer sends you their highest resolution files without understanding our upload limits.
Note for Shoott customers: You do not need to resize the photos yourself. Contact Shoott's customer service team at support@shoott.freshdesk.com and let them know the provided photos were too large for upload.
Here are some steps you can take to resolve that before you try and upload again:
On a Mac
- In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file you want to change.
- Choose Tools > Adjust Size, then select “Resample image" and "Scale proportionally."
- Find which is larger, the Width or the Height. Whichever is larger reduce the number until the Resulting Size is under 25MB.
- Click OK, then choose File > Save.
On Windows
- Double-click the image file you want to resize to open it in Photos.
- Once open, click the three dots in the top-right corner, then click "Resize."
- In the pop-up click "Define custom dimensions" at the bottom.
- Select "Maintain aspect ratio" and keep quality at 100%.
- Lower the dimensions until the file size is under 25MB and then click "Save resized copy."
