There are two ways to upload addresses to your Address Book: adding them manually or bulk uploading a spreadsheet.
Please note that changes you make to your Address Book will not automatically update orders you have already placed or proofs saved in your cart. If your order is already placed, you will need to contact us to update your addresses. If your card is still in your cart, simply choose Edit Addresses in the dropdown menu under your card to select your updated addresses.
Adding addresses manually
- Sign in to your Paper Culture account and navigate to My Account, then click on Addresses.
- Under the "Add Address" section, fill out the form with your recipient's information. By default, the U.S. address form is displayed. You can click Change Country to switch to an international format.
- Click Add Address to save the entry to your Address Book.
- Repeat this process for any additional recipients.
Bulk uploading your addresses via spreadsheet
- Download the templates you need:
- United States Template (includes military and U.S. territories)
- International Template
- Enter your addresses into the spreadsheet. If you are pasting from another sheet, use Paste Values (Edit > Paste Special > Values) to ensure the formatting stays correct.
- Save the file as an .xls or .xlsx (Microsoft Excel) file. If you are working in Apple Numbers, export the spreadsheet as an Excel file and turn off the "Include a summary sheet" option.
- On the Address Book page of your account, click Import Addresses.
- Upload your completed Excel spreadsheet.
Troubleshooting common upload errors
If you encounter errors during the upload process, check your spreadsheet for these common issues:
- Missing or extra columns: Do not add or remove any columns from the template. The U.S. template requires exactly 6 columns, and the International template requires 5.
- Address or City cannot be blank: Ensure Address 1 and City are filled out for all U.S. recipients. Address 2 is the only column that can remain blank for U.S. addresses, and Address 3 can also remain blank for International addresses.
- State not selected: Ensure you use the exact state abbreviations or spellings provided in the template's dropdown menu.
- Zip Code is not valid: Ensure all zip codes are 5 digits. If your spreadsheet removes the leading zero from a zip code, add an apostrophe before the zero (e.g., '01234) to force it to display correctly.
- Country cannot be blank: For international addresses, ensure the Country column is filled out.
