There are two ways to upload addresses to your address book: manually or bulk uploading a spreadsheet. This article will walk through the steps for both processes.
You can add addresses to your address book at any time before you order but changes or additions you make won't change placed orders, or orders pending in your cart. If your order is placed you'll need to contact us to update your order, but if it's in your cart you'll just need to choose Edit Addresses in the drop down menu under your card, and from there choose your updates addresses.
Adding addresses manually
Sign in and navigate to your profile and then to Addresses. You'll see your current Address Book on the right and Add Address on the left.
- Under Add Address there is a form to enter your recipient information; by default the US address form is displayed but you can click "Change Country" to switch to an international format.
- When finished, click "Add Address" and your address will be added to the address book. Remember this only adds the recipient to your address book, not to any existing order where you added addressed envelopes.
- Repeat until you have added all the addresses you need; there will be a count of US and international recipients at the top of the Address Book on the right
Bulk upload your addresses
- Download the templates you need, one for US addresses and one for International addresses.
- United States: Download US Template (includes military & US territories)
- International: Download International Template
- On the Address Book page, click "Import Addresses" to reveal our US or international address template.
- Enter your addresses on the Excel spreadsheet, making sure the formatting stays the same and all rows are filled. If you are pasting from another sheet, please Paste Values don't just Copy and Paste. To do that, go to Edit > Paste Special > Values. This will ensure that all data stays in the right format.
- Do not add or remove any column from the spreadsheet. The only column that can remain blank is USAddress2 if you aren't using it.
- Save the file as .xls or .xlsx (Microsoft Excel) file.
- If you are working in Numbers, please export the spreadsheet as an excel file and make sure to turn off including a summary sheet. (For more details see: The website says my addresses were uploaded, but I don't see them)
- Upload the completed Excel spreadsheet online by clicking the "Upload" button in that same section
- Any errors that need fixing will be shown in a pop-up, otherwise, you're done!
You can then manually edit the addresses at any time by simply clicking on the pencil icon next to a recipient.
